Policies
To book at Istanbul Holiday Apartments,  use the online reservation system to check
availability and rates and to make a confirmed reservation.
All rates are quoted in US
Dollars.
We now offer instant confirmation of reservation requests and follow up with a
second email giving detailed information regarding your arrival and check-in.  Please feel
free to email us with any queries you may have regarding your visit. We do not accept
reservations over the phone.

DEPOSIT
Guests are required to provide a valid credit card number to guarantee the reservation.
Guests paying by credit card will be charged 50% of the amount due upon booking and the
remainder five days prior to arrival. In most cases, charges will be made in US Dollars or
Turkish Lira  at the current exchange rate.  For guests who prefer to pay in cash,  the 50%
deposit must be sent by bank transfer. All bank wire fees (outgoing & incoming) are the
responsibility of the guest. The balance is due upon arrival in cash (USD, EUR, GBP, or
TL). Guests may also pay the deposit by credit card and the balance in cash upon arrival.

CREDIT CARD
All guests are required to give their credit card details as a security deposit in the event of  
phone charges or any damaged or missing items. Guests are expected to keep the property
in good order and leave the apartment in the same condition as when they arrived.

RATES
The rate includes linens, standard kitchen utensils, electricity,gas, water,  air conditioning,
satellite TV, local telephone calls, DSL ethernet or wireless internet access, weekly
cleaning, and all taxes.  Calls made to mobile phones will be charged at cost to the guest's
credit card upon receipt of the monthly telephone bill. Guests staying five nights or less are
charged a $35  per apartment cleaning fee. The rates given on the website and online
reservations systems are for either 2 or 4 people depending on the apartment. Extra guests
up to the maximum occupancy limit will be charged at $ 22 per night per person, including
children over age 2. We cannot accept more people than the maximum occupancy with the
exception of children under two years old who will sleep in a crib or with an adult.
Discounts may not be combined.

ARRIVAL
Guests must inform Istanbul Holiday Apartments in advance of their arrival details and  
are encouraged to order the airport service as it makes you arrival to the apartment
much smoother unless you know Istanbul well or have staying with us previously and
know how to get to the buildings. We can also arrange to meet guests at the train station,
central bus station or ferry terminal. Each guest must provide a photocopy of his/her
passport.

CHECK-IN and CHECK-OUT
Our English speaking guest representative will be waiting for you at the property.
Check-in hours are 4 pm (16:00) and check-out is 11 am although we do our utmost to
accommodate the individual needs of our guests. Under no circumstances may guests
remain in the apartment past 15:00 without paying an extra fee. We cannot guarantee early
morning access to the property unless you have booked for the previous night.

Guests arriving after 19:00 (7 pm) are required to use our airport pickup service as the
driver will have the key. Our representative will call on you the following day. The
Information Book in the apartment should answer most of your questions.

Guests arriving between the hours of 12 midnight and 8 in the morning must book for the
night of their arrival and are required to use our airport pickup service as the driver will
have the key to the apartment.

CANCELLATIONS
There is no penalty for changing the dates of your booking as long the change is made two
weeks prior to your arrival date.  Cancellations four weeks or more before the scheduled
arrival date receive a refund of their deposit less a $150 cancellation fee.
Cancellations
less than four weeks before the scheduled arrival date will be charged the entire
rental fee for the reserved period.  
 Please note that no refunds whatsoever will be given
for cancellations made in response to circumstances beyond our control such as natural
disasters or political events. Guests who depart before the scheduled date are charged the
tariff for the entire rental period.  

CHARACTER OF THE PROPERTIES
Guests are advised to read the website carefully with particular attention to the character
and nature of the properties and the area. The apartments are not recommended for
individuals who have difficulty walking or climbing stairs or  for those who expect daily
housekeeping and other hotel services. Only Muge Penthouse Terrace has an elevator. Our
staff will assist you with your luggage upon check-in and check-out between the hours of
9:00 and 21:00. Animals are not allowed in properties. Children are welcome.
